To Start Our Day:Attendance and Tardies
Class starts at 8:20am. Children need to be in line. Tardy students disrupt the class, so please be on time. If child is absent please call the office or write a note, this will help our attendance secretary.Homework is turned in at the beginning of class.
Curriculum
We use the Houghton Mifflin Curriculum. This includes: Themed Lessons, Small Groups (Centers), books, writing, math, dramatic play, science, art, etc.Alpha friends- Each letter has a fun song and little movement.
Classroom Rules
Students will help teacher create some of the classroom rules.Student MUST raise their hand when they want to talk.When Ms. Ring is talking everyone MUST have listening ears.
COMMON PLANNING DAYS
Parklane participates in Common Planning days in order to facilitate the best learning experiences for children.
Teachers spend time together planning and preparing lessons, field trips, and activities.
Children will need to be picked up at the specific times on those designated days.
Sharing/Birthday/Celebrations
From time to time your child will want to bring something to share and that is okay because we encourage oral language. We discourage the sharing of toys and items of a violent nature.
Birthday/Celebrations: Lodi Unified policy requires that any food brought to school cannot be home-made. Please check with the teacher before bringing anything.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Please plan on attending:BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT: on Wednesday August 6th. PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES: month of
October.OPEN HOUSE: month of November.
