Week 2 Exploration: StoryboardBY: PENNY QUALKENBUSH

Before I started the MCBS Program I was working at a full-time job that I did not like.

I worked at a casino with a bunch of people screaming at me because they lost all their money.

No matter how good I was at my

job I was still treated as a

number.Number 1824

I had always thought I wanted to work in the medical profession.

I took multiple courses trying to pursue this career.

I even became a certified Massage Therapist.

But then I realized studying the medical profession was very boring.

I never wanted to go to class.

Because of that I asked myself, “Why am I doing this?”

My real interest has always been in Journalism and Broadcasting.

Throughout high school this is why I took so many college prep classes for Journalism.

Because of that I found Full Sail right away.

I didn’t even need to look any further, because they offered me everything I was looking for.

With one hundred percent from my

husband, I quit my job at the casino and went back to

school.

Because of that I am enjoying my classes and looking forward to a career in the media industry.

I am so excited every time I start a new class.

Until finally I graduate and start digging further into the career path that I can finally

choose. I love knowing there are a lot of possibilities with my degree

choice.

And ever since I decided to pursue my passion for media, my days seem a little brighter and feel I have a positive goal

to achieve.

I also love knowing that my son is

watching me and I am setting a wonderful example for him.
