One of the world’s rarest sea creatures – Migaloo the white humpback whale (his name means
“white fella”) was spotted off the eastern coast of Australia on June 19th. To date – Migaloo is
the “only documented white humpback whale in the world.”
Members of a tourism company – Whale Watching Sydney said – “We got extremely lucky.
Migaloo came up 5 m (a little over 5 feet) from our boat. What a sight that was!”

The ability to afford higher education after high school should be a universal right.
Unfortunately – America is a long way from that goal. Starbucks – however is trying to
provide tuition assistance for its employees.
Recently – Starbucks announced it would cover much of the cost of two years of
education at Arizona State Online for its employees. This makes Starbucks the 1st U.S.
Company to provide free college tuition (to a degree) for all of its employees.

Twin tornadoes destroyed nearly all the buildings in Pilger – a 350-person farming town in
Nebraska. Many homes were swept away.
“This is by far the worst thing I’ve ever seen as governor,” said Nebraska Governor Dave
Heineman who declared a state of emergency on the town.
