Project description
Students shall exchange greetings in their language and in any other language they know.They should be made aware that greetings are exchanged on several occasions ((e.g. you can greet a friend at aparty or in the street; you can greet your parents when you are on holiday; you can greet a person using your voice and intonation or you can simply use gestures; etc.) and in many ways. Students shall be asked to adapat their greeting to a proposed situation.
Project goals
- improve communication in a foreign language- stimulate intercultural awareness by: - comparing and finding differences and similarities
between greeting habits in different European countries
- learn about metalanguage in different European cultures
- raise a feeling of European citizenship and friendship
ICT Tools
- Students could create their own* videos showing role-plays (use of slideshare site) *blog to communicate with each other-They could collaborate to create an online mindmap

1st month-October -explaining our project to our students-presenting the ICT tools to students involved in the project and demo lessons about the tools we are going to use in the project-exchanging letters, e-mails in order to get to know our partners
-the teachers involved in the project in every country -the teachers and the students-students and teachers from all the countries involved in the project
2nd month-November -students in every country will send greeting cards to their partners-they will prepare mini-videos, PPs to show how gestures are used in different situations and explain the significance of some greetings-they will use the etwinning blog and etwinning resources
--all the teachers and students from Romania, Italy, Portugal
