Walter Elias "Walt" Disney was born on December 5, 1901 and died on December 15, 1966) He was famous for being an American film producer, director, screenwriter, voice actor, animator, entrepreneur, entertainer and international icon.

Where Did He Live?Walt Disney was born in Chicago Illinois, as

well his father Elias Disney, and mother Flora Call Disney. Walt was one of five children, four boys and a girl.

After Walt's birth, the Disney family moved to Marceline Missouri, Walt lived most of his childhood in Marceline Missouri.

Interested in animation? Walt Disney become interested in drawing, taking

some art classes as a teen and providing political cartoons for his high school's newspaper. After returning from France in 1919, he wanted to continue with his political cartoons but could only find work with an advertising agency. Walt next secured a job with the Kansas City Film Ad Company, where he created commercials using cardboard cutouts. This sparked his interest in animation, and Walt begin borrowing equipment from work for his own experiments. He founded the Laugh-O-Gram Studio in 1922.

Background The Disney family moved to Marceline, Missouri. Walt lived out most

of his childhood here. Walt had a very early interest in drawing, and art. When he was seven years old, he sold small sketches, and drawings to nearby neighbours. Instead of doing his school work Walt doodled pictures of animals, and nature. His knack for creating enduring art forms took shape when he talked his sister, Ruth, into helping him paint the side of the family's house with tar.

Close to the Disney family farm, there were Santa Fe Railroad tracks that crossed the countryside. Often Walt would put his ear against the tracks, to listen for approaching trains. Walt's uncle, Mike Martin, was a train engineer who worked the route between Fort Madison, Iowa, and Marceline. Walt later worked a summer job with the railroad, selling newspapers, popcorn, and sodas to travellers.

The cartoon is considered the debut of Mickey Mouse and his girlfriend Minnie, but the characters had both appeared several months earlier in test screenings. Steamboat Willie was the third of Mickey's films to be produced, but was the first to be distributed.

History of Animation Steamboat Willie" was a black and white Mickey Mouse short film that was released on

November 18, 1928, being the short that kicked off what we have come to know as The Golden Age of Animation. It is notable not for being the first Mickey Mouse. It not for being the first sound cartoon (Fleischer Studios had already experimented with adding sound to their cartoons), but for being the first cartoon with a completely post-produced soundtrack of music, dialogue, and sound effects. Namely, it was the first cartoon to get it right, bringing The Silent Age of Animation to an end.

The short itself begins with the iconic image of Mickey Mouse at the mast of a steamboat, whistling to himself. The villain, Pete, the real captain of the ship, steps in and hassles Mickey for not doing his job. The steamboat docks to pick up a cargo of animals, and Minnie Mouse rushes to board the ship as it leaves the dock. Mickey manages to get her on board (by using a hook to pick her up by her panties no less), but an Extreme Omni Goat eats her ukulele and her sheets of music . Somehow Mickey and Minnie are able to make the most of the situation by cranking the goat's tail, which causes it to play music. The ensuing scenes involve Mickey abusing animals in order to add to the music, by swinging a cat by its tail, choking a duck, pulling on the tails of baby pigs and then playing the mother pig's nipples. Animal abuse aside, this scene readily showed off what adding sound to cartoons could do. Pete gets angry at Mickey for slacking off again, and forces him to peel potatoes. The short ends with Mickey throwing a potato at a parrot for laughing at him.

video clip, and that it told the story with out any word*s

The video clip is short, with a storyline that is good. The clip has funny parts, especially for young kids to

watch, it would make them laugh.  It featured a fully post-produced soundtrack which

distinguished it from earlier sound cartoons such as Inkwell Studios.

3 thing’s To Improve On It? When making this video clip he should made the

characters speak, rather than just acting without any words

Disney Willie should make the video longer than 7 minute at least 10 or 15 minute long.

They could made it funnier for young children to see and watch.

animation video is still relevant today because most families that have young children that are age 2 to 5 they watch the video on there TV, as well the young children they like to watch the videos.
