IntroductionThis presentation is to help students in 10th grade.

Students have great choices and many opportunities.

This presentation is to introduce some of those opportunities, thinking about the connection b/w choice of courses and plans for life.

Right To Education (RTE) Free and Compulsory Education Act, come in

existence on 1st April 2010.

RTE ensures compulsory admission, attendance

and completion of elementary education by every

child of 6 to 14 yrs.

Private schools should reserve a fourth of their

seats for the poor and other categories of

children.

GOALS of RTE Bringing children of marginalized sections into the

ambit of school education.

Ensuring that all schools and their teachers meet

some specified norms.

Ensuring that all children receive quality schooling

free from any kind of discrimination.

Girl child is central to the efforts to universalize

elementary education.

SSA (Sarva Shiksha Aabhiyaan):Education for

All !! Programme ensure girl’s education.

Non- academic.

Totally related to a specific trade, occupation

Referred as technical education.

Practical work is given greater importance

than bookish learning.
