WRITING JOURNAL ENTRY Think about a memorable visual you have experienced. It could be a favorite photograph, music video, movie, advertisement etc. - anything that involves imagery.

First - draw a representation of it. It doesn’t have to be perfect Then discuss - when did you first see it? what did you first think? why is it memorable for you? how does it make you feel?

The blog post is informative on its chosen topic and doesn’t stray from the intended purpose. It is specific in detail and addresses the intended audience.You have a clear audience and are writing an argument, not a review or a personal story.

They are not just ‘prettying up’ the text; they have a

purpose.

Images can argue and persuade just

like words.

that fit your purpose.

BRAINSTORMING Thinking about your blog post, what visuals could you include? Start making a list and where you might be able to find them. If you have technology, start your research and take a look.

Or think about visuals that persuaded YOU to choose UI. Why are they successful? How could you recreate this success with your own pictures?

If you HAVE included pictures, write down why you have chosen THOSE pictures and no others. Think about if they are in the best possible place to be persuasive. Is the size appropriate? Do you feel you need more images? Less?
