Violence in theatreThe problem of violence in
various forms are also encountered in the theatre, most theatre games occurs
violence , but there are games which are based on violence.
These performances are usually a part of educational activities,
they end with problem of violence and they are some
means to limit it.
Jozef Gregor Tajovský Statky- zmätky
Zuza and Ďuro are expecting a baby. From the beginning they are happy but
then he starts to walk to pubs, he doesn‘t care of Zuza. Zuza is sadder everyday.
But his family gave guilt of Ďuro‘s behavior to her. Ďuro makes a mockery from her. Zuza decides to leave him and
he finds a new wife. Later, when they have a son, Ďuro comes to Zuzka to ask for pardon and return to her again. She tells him that her anger is gone, but she
will never give him their son.
West Side StoryAt the party Tony ( Riff-Jet leaders best friend) is meeting Maria (sister of sharks
leader Bernard) and they are liking to each other. Maria asks Tony to prevent the battle. On the second day before
Tonys eyes Bernardo kills his friend Riff. Tony accidentally kills Bernardo in fury.
Maria knows the death of his brother, but she is still promising eternal love to Tony.
But Chino from Sharks finds Tony and shoot him. Tony dies in the arms of Maria
here, with these two young people and their tragedy, the two gangs are
reconciling ...
Violence in the films
Nowadays in 21st century violence is present
everywhere. Mainly in the films, serials and realityshows. Children and young people are
influenced the most. Sustaining watching of violent scenes brings these pictures
into their subconscious.
Bathory• The film is based on a story of Elisabeth Bathory, Hungarian noble in 16. and 17.
century, taking place in Upper
Hungary, recent Slovakia.
Elisabeth Bathory was famous for
murders of many young virgins and bathing in their
blood. In the film, count Thurzo was to blame for all. She was manipulated by him after her husband died.
Thurzo pretended a murder to put her into prison and obtain her
property. He incited her daughters and sons in
law against her, only her son stayed faightful.
After she died he had to adapt as well.
Jánošík „Slovak Robin Hood“
The story of Juraj Jánošik, who robbed
rich citizens and gave their properties to
poor, is the theme of more than one film
ever shot.The violence in the film isn´t for its sake, the aim was to show
cruelty as a consequence of
certain life choices and to show the way of
freedom and independence. „We
wouldn´t understand Jánošík´s fate without
a pain...“
