**When you use 2 verbs together in Spanish, the 2nd is usually an infinitive.
Thus, we have used the expression: When you have 2 verbs side by side, conjugate the first & do not conjugate the second.
I prefer to study: Prefiero estudiar
1st verb conjugated 2nd verb unconjugated
Some Verbs that Require the Infinitive:
Gusta/Gustaría―I like/I would like
Encanta/Encantaría―I love/I would love
Deber―should
Necesitar―to need
Pensar―to think/plan
Poder―to be able/can
Preferir―to prefer
Querer―to want
Quisiera―I would like
Example Sentences:
I like to travel. I would like to travel.
Me gusta viajar. Me gustaría viajar.
I should study. I need to study.
Debo estudiar. Necesito estudiar
Acabar de:
The verb acabar de means to have just...
Always include the “de” with the verb. You will always use an infinitive after the word “de” to complete the thought.
