2013 Entry Tuition Fees

• Home/EU UG programmes are up to £9,000 a year

– International students will have varying tuition fees

– Varying fee for Professional Training Year, Year in Industry, Sandwich Year

• NHS funded programmes do not incur tuition fees

Some students can receive a ‘Maintenance Grant’

•This is means tested, and is aimed at students from low

income households

• If your household income is up for £42,875 you may be

entitled to a grant

• The maximum available is £3,387 for household incomes

of up to £25,000 a year

•This is paid directly to the student’s bank account

• Current RPI is 3.1% (as of July 2013)

• Any outstanding loan will be written off after 30 years

No penalty for early repayment

The Chancellor’s Scholarship

• £3,000 cash award in year 1 plus free Surrey Sports Park membership for the duration of studies

• Open to all (except NHS funded) students who select Surrey as their Firm choice and achieve the following qualifications:

– A*AA OR A*A*B at A-level

– 37 IB points

– D3, D3, D3 in principal subjects of the Cambridge Pre-U

– D*DD in BTEC QCF Extended Diploma

– AAA Scottish Advanced Highers

– AAAAAA Irish Highers

Sports Scholarship

• £3,000 per year plus free Surrey Sports Park membership:

• Max of £1,000 cash award

• Remainder to be used towards University services and Sports Performance Services tailored to your individual sporting needs.

• Open to all students meeting entry requirements and maintaining academic standards throughout studies:

“Be an internationally recognised athlete in a sport that is recognised by BUCS, UK Sport and Sport England or be on a

NGB performance pathway programme.”
