Harry Potter is 10 years old and he’s very unhappy.
He lives with his aunt and uncle.
Harry doesn’t like his cousin Dudley.
One day, Harry gets a letter from Hogwarts…
He learns magic and plays Quidditch.
Harry is very happy there.

Usamos el presente simple para cosas que ocurren regularmente o normalmente son verdad.
J.K. Rowling and her family live in Scotland.
Affirmative
Generalmente el presente simple es igual a la forma base del verbo, pero en tercera persona singular (he, she, it) agregamos la terminación “s”.
J.K. Rowling writes with a pen.
Cuando los verbos terminan en o, sh, ch, ss, o x agregamos la terminación “es”.
J.K. Rowling watches TV.
Cuando los verbos terminan en:consonante + ycambiamos la y por ies.
Harry Potter studies TV.

En la forma negativa usamos don’t o doesn’t y la forma base del verbo.
J.K. Rowling doesn’t live in England.
I/we/you/they don’t He/she/it doesn’t
Interrogative
En la forma interrogativa usamos do o does y la forma base del verbo.
Does J.K. Rowling live in Scotland?
Para responder también utilizamos do o does. Does J.K. Rowling live in Scotland? Yes, she does. / No, she doesn’t.
Do you like Harry Potter books? Yes, I do. / No, I don’t.
