Unidad Didáctica 8Didactic Unit 8Harry Potter
After reading Harry Potter´s first book, “Harry Potter and the philosophical stone” students are required to anwer some questions about it.
They have to answer the questions proposed and provide a different end to the story.
Contest part: Students are divided in groups of four students, so there
will be 6 groups. In each group there will be only one speaker, in charge of
answering correctly and aloud the given questions . If the group answer scorrectly, gets one point, if not misses
one turn. The group with more points is the winner.
. Individual work: Students will have to provide a different end in the format they prefer, a collage, a film, a power point, writing. It is up to them.
Answer the following questions:- 1. Who does Harry Potter live with at the
beginning of the story?- 2. What happened to Harry Potter´s
parents?- 3. What school does Harry Potter attend?- 4. How are called the “ordinary” people?- 5. How are called the magician´s children
without any magical skill?
- 6. What´s the most popular sport among magicians?
- 7. Who is Harry Potter´s best friend?- 8. From what platform does the train to
Howgarts leave?- 9. What is the name of the street where
Howgarts´ students can get magic items?
- 10. What do young wizards need to take with them for the first year in Howgarts?
- 11. How many languages has the book been translated into?
Each student will get two marks, one for the team work and another for the individual work.

By the end of the activity, students will have read one of the best sellers of teenagers´ books, developing their reading skills, fluency and accuracy on writing and their imagination providing an alternative ending.
