projection.
Your focus should remain on your breathing. Breathe in through your nose and out through your
mouth.
You'll feel your breathing become slower and deeper still. Concentrate completely on relaxing your
body more and more.
Start with your toes and relax your body bit y bit, working your way up to your head. You can do
this by either tensing and then releasing each part of your body as you go along. Alternately,
visualize all of the stress and tension leaving from each part of your body as you do your deep
breathing.
You will begin to feel heavy, as if all your energy and stress is going away as you relax each part
of your body. You will notice when this happens. Once this occurs in your entire body, you are
ready to move on to the next step in astral projection.
At this point, you are completely ready and prepared for sleep, but it is important to stay alert
during this time. Many practicing projectors come up with a phrase such as 'I can fly, I can fly'
there is no wrong phrase, so you can come up with your own.
When are minds are unoccupied, they tend to wander this can spoil your concentration, making it
impossible to astral project. Stay on track by repeating your phrase.
There are a few different ways that you can reach the altered state needed to astral project. You
can attain this state by continuing to repeat your mantra. Many find the 'body of light' technique to
be very effective as well. In this technique, you imagine yourself transforming into a body made of
light.
You can count on experiencing three main feelings that will let you know that you have reached
astral projection, the first is the sensation that you are moving. The second is when you see lights
and colors with closed eyes.
Last, it is said that you will hear voices that will tell you to stop or encourage you to keep going.
This state lets you know that you have achieved astral projection.
