Transitions

An effective change in leadership from one year to another is vital to an organization’s survival

A transition tests an organization's ability to renew itself, so that it can continue to fulfill its mission in a changing environment

A successful change in leadership: preserves the organization and the trust of its members

allows it to grow and adapt to meet new challenges with imagination and enthusiasm

Ineffective Transitioning

Failure to understand your responsibilities within your organization or to your organization’s transition

You run the risk of losing momentum, then morale, and ultimately members

Years of hard work and key relationships may be lost if you fail to understand the importance of a complete transition
