Sonaar Luthra presents new innovative technology, The Water Canary, that can test the contamination of drinking water.
Luthra first became concerned with clean drinking water following the cholera epidemic that broke out in Haiti after the 2010 earthquake.
His idea came from the use of canaries to save coal miners in the past.
Currently, we can best show the extent of the cholera outbreak due to extremely high mortality rates.

The Water Canary is in the early stages.
It is a fast, cheap device that does not require special training, or take the time tests do nowadays to find chemicals in the water.
The Water Canary Sarah Flynn
The Water Canary uses light to test the water.
Simply insert water sample, and light with turn green if it is safe, and red if it is hazardous.
These readings will then be automatically mapped in record time.
