The purpose of this magazine is for women to know all the latest fashion and gossip. ‘GLAMOUR’ is a thrill for people who like to keep up with the latest fashion.

The target audience for this cover are people who like Taylor Swift or for people who like to read the Glamour magazine. These could be teenagers or ladies in their early twenties.

The entire font on the cover is the same the only difference is the font size and the colour. The font used for the magazine is Franklin Gothic Heavy; I know this because it said it on the magazines homepage.

The magazines name ‘GLAMOUR’ is the mastheading on the cover. The image of Taylor Swift overlaps the name but you can still see what is written behind it because the name is still visible from some parts.

The image on the cover is off Taylor Swift a known singer; she has many fans and is popular with teenagers and young children.

Everything is based around the image of Taylor Swift; the writings and the headings on the cover are not covering up the image you can see it well. The layout of this magazine is for a female audience I do not think that a male would be attracted to such a cover.

The target audience for this cover are 16 and 17 year olds that are thinking of applying to Ryedale for sixth form.

The masthead is all in capital letter and its in blue. The letter ‘R’ stands out because the font size for it is bigger than the rest of the writing.

Different shades of blue are used on this cover, this could show that the people are productive and this links with the fact it is a school magazine

The images are placed around the page, they make a pattern and fit together like a jigsaw.

The school logo is next to the masthead

The name of the school is

under the masthead . This

gives the magazine its

personal identity.

The masthead on the cover page has been layered so that the image is underneath it, even though it is in black it still stands out and is the main feature that you see on the page.

The writing on the side of the image tells the readers the main articles in this issue. It is layered over the image which makes it seems more important and will there for

All the sub headings on the page are in red and are all in caps locks, this is so that the reader knows what the topic is and can spot it easily when just scanning through the page. Having them in this style allows them to stand out from the small print black writing.

It has the word ‘contents’ in black, I think this is so that it goes with the main heading of the page.

It includes the Month and year of when it was published; this is so that the people know which issue it is and also in which season these trends are in.

The magazine would want customers to keep coming back and buying their magazine so in order for them to know if people are actually doing this they will ask them to subscribe. They are trying to lure the customer in by offering them free products if they subscribe.

The target audience for this contents page are woman aged 25-40 this is because it is all about fashion that mature people would wear and also because it has expensive items in it so people with jobs would be most likely to afford them. This magazine would attract its target audience because even though these people are older they would still want to know what to wear to look good so they would buy it to see what’s hot and what’s not.

The masthead on the cover page has been layered so that the image is underneath it, I chose the colour yellow because I thought it went well with the picture as Haleema’s lanyard is yellow and she has a bit of yellow on her top.

I wrote the name of the school underneath the masthead so it could be like the subtitle and also because it is the magazine’s identity because the pupils of this school are who the magazine is aimed at.

I chose the colours blue and yellow because I thought that yellow was one of the main colours and blue because it looked like a good combination and also because it was one of the coulors on her shirt

The image on my cover is of one of my classmates, in the background you can see the school scenery and Haleema is looking towards the camera in a mid shot. I put the image as the whole background and put the writing around the main image.

The writing on my cover is based around the main image in the centre for each text I have a top and bottom colour.

I have added on a phrase at the bottom that says ‘You Education is Important’ because it fits in with the school theme.

Under the heading of ‘Talk with the Head’ I have an image of the head teacher I did this because I thought having an image on top of the cover looked good because I saw it on other magazines whilst doing my research.

The contents page consist of my two main coloursthat I used on the cover, blue and yellow . Where the background is yellow the text is blue and where the background is blue the text is yellow.

I used the same text style to write contents page an I did to write ‘Brilliant Bellas’ on the cover page. The colour of it is blue to go on to the yellow background

I wore the month and year under the heading so people know which issue it is and for which term it is.

I have three images on my page and I put a yellow shape under them all to create a design, each picture has a sub heading which I did in red so it doesn’t contrast with the rest of the text on the page and also because it stands out.

I have put the school motto at the bottom of the page in the same way I put the phrase at the bottom of the cover, I did this to give it the personal touch of the school.

Down the left hand side I have listed the pages and the content people will find in them, for some I did two page spreads and for others one. I have different categories ranging for trips to sport events and competitions

The three images I used are of the school building the sports centre and one of a P.E class where girls were practicing dance routines.
