social network and refines themand makes it appropriate for a classroom

Getting Started for Teachers – Signing Up

For Websiteu Go to https://www.edmodo.com

u Select “I’m a Teacher”

u Input an Email and Password to register to Edmodo OR simply sign in using your Office 365 or Google account

Edmodo will sent you an email. Please check your email and than confirm your email account

For Website*u After you log in successfully for the

first time, Edmodo ask you to fill Profile form

u Fill the profile form

u Don’t forget to upload your profile picture

u Skip “Connect with People” stage for now

u Click “Go to My Homepage”

*Recommended way – This is the recommended way to setup your profile via website since Edmodo force you to fill the profile right after first login and it is more complete than mobile version. But you can update the profile any time.

Getting Started for Teachers – Groups

What is the groups in Edmodo ?Groups in Edmodo is the classes for your students. The

students need to join the group(s) to attend your classes in Edmodo

Edmodo will create one group for you automatically after you finish setup your first profile setup

Getting Started for Teachers – Setup an New Group

For Websiteu On the sidebar group section,

select “Create a Group”

u Fill the form with information of your group

u Group’s name

u Grade

u Subject

u Color

u Click ”Create” button

u Page will be redirect automatically to group page

Getting Started for Teachers – Invite Member(s)

For Websiteu On the group page, see the top of

right sidebar

u Broadcast the group’s code to your student

u Group’s code is the KEY to join your group (class) OR

u Click “Invite Group Member” to invite the students to the group

u Select ”I’m a Student”

u Sign up with fill up the form or simply using Office 365 or Google Account

u DON’T FORGET THE GROUP’S CODE !

u Tap “Create Free Account”

u Group’s code

For Websiteu On the group page, select

”Assignment” tab

u Fill the assignment formu Assignment title

u Due Date

u Assignment Description

u Audience

u Attachment (optional)

u You can use “Load Assignment” features to reuse your previous assignment

u Your assignment will be appear on timeline

u You can check the student who already submit the assignment on the timeline in assignment post (Turned In)

Posting – Edit Assignment

For Websiteu In the assignment post on the

timeline point your cursor on the right upper cornet until you see point down arrow than click it

u Select ”Edit Post”

u Save

u VERY EASY JUST LIKE EDITING OUR POST IN FACEBOOK

Posting – Submit Assignment (For Students)

For Websiteu On the homepage timeline or group

post student will be able to see the assignment post

u They will get notification about assignment too !

u To submit assignment, select “Turn In”

u Post the assignment (attachment is optional, it is depend on assignment instruction)

u Then, select ”Turn In Assignment”

u If success, the term “Turn In” in the assignment post will be replaced by “Turned In”

u Student also can monitoring the assignment event on the right sidebar on the homepage

Posting – Grading Assignment

For Websiteu You will get notification after

student submit their assignment !

u Back to your assignment post

u Select ”Turned In”

u Select the student from student list

u Fill the grade box on the top of the list

u You can also check the status of

u Amount of not turned in student

u Amount of ungraded student

u Amount of graded student

For Websiteu On posting section, select ”Quiz” tab

u Select “Create a Quiz”

u On the create quiz page, give quiz a title and time limit

u Question type

u Multiple Choice

u True or False

u Short Answer

u Fill in The Blank

u Matching

u Give a due date

u Target the audience

u YOU CANNOT EDIT THE QUIZ AFTER YOU POST IT

For Websiteu Student will get notification about

the quiz OR

u Student can check the quiz post on the homepage timeline or group post

u Select ”Take Quiz”

u Select ”Start Quiz”

u Select “Submit Quiz” on the right upper corner

u Edmodo quiz post unable randomize the question and answer especially for multiple choice question type. Question and answer will be the same for all of your student

u Edmodo will be submit the quiz automatically if quiz time is up

For Websiteu On posting section, select ”Poll”

u Fill the form with question and answers

u And DON’T FORGET to give specific audience of the post

u Editing poll method is same as editing note or assignment

u Polling result will be appear on poll post

u Student just choose the answer of the polling

quiz based on test standard

u You don’t need to create a question

u Snapshot only available in websiteand android apps version

u Select “Snapshot” on posting section

u Select the audience

u Select grade and snapshot type (Math or ELA)

u Select the standard

For Websiteu Select progress menu on the left

upper corner (beside “Home” icon)

u Select ”Export” if you want to export the report. You can get CSV format report

What is The Badge ?Badge is a reward for Edmodo

users (both teacher and student) after completing

specific “mission”

What is that ?Library and Backpack actually

same feature but in difference perspective. Both of them is

storage feature. Library is the term for teacher user and

backpack is the term for student

Setup ProfileFor iOS / Android u Tap navigation button icon on the

left upper corner

u Tap your profile

u Tap “gear” (iOS) / “more” (Android) icon on the right upper corner

NB :

You don’t need to setup your profile via mobile apps since you complete setting up your profile on the website or even if you still filling the form on the website. The profile page on mobile apps will be updated as fast as lighting while you update your profile on the website.
