• All CYQ’s qualifications must be migrated into the QCF by December 2010

• The Qualification Development Strategy (QDS) was written to facilitate this process

• QDS also encapsulates 3 years + feedback with a view to implementing this and raising standards

• The current work falls into three categories:

1.Qualifications made up of shared units of common content and ‘owned’ by SkillsActive

Qualifications that give entry to REPs

• CYQ’s qualification design is taking account of the emerging qualification landscape:

• Foundation Learning (formerly FLT)– Provision at entry level – Progression pathways

• Foundation Learning (formerly FLT)• 14 – 19 Diploma

– CYQ in the ASL Catalogue • Apprenticeships

• CYQ will aim to give as much notice of change as possible

• Summary of change documents will be created with each qualification

• Training Days are already scheduled • We will involve you as much as possible in

development (QRGs)
