Main Characters:The Canterville Ghost: He is the main character and the ghost of the house. He tries to rest in peace but when the family arrives he can’t.Mrs Umney: She is the servant of the family.Family: They are from the USA.Mr Otis: He is the father. He is an American ambassador.Mrs Otis: She is the mother.Washington: He is the eldest son, he is very good-looking.Virginia: She is a beautiful girl, she is quiet and gentle.The twins: They have a lot of energy and they are always in trouble.

Summary of the bookAn American family relocated from EEUU to England to a big house, the house wasn't normal, it had a ghost. The family didn’t matter about this. One day the eldest brother saw a bloodstain in the carpet of the living room, he removed it but the bloodstain reappear every day. One night the father heard a chain in movement when he left the bedroom he saw a ghost. He didn't get scared, in fact, he told the ghost to don’t walk with the chains. The next night the mother heard it and she left her bedroom and saw the ghost, she gave him a medicine because he looked ill. The twins always made pranks to the ghost. One day he lost his temper and he decided to punish the twins. He created a plan to frighten them, when he tried to do the plan the twins they dressed up like a ghost an frightened him. He was very angry and weak. One day Virginia, one of the sons, broke her skirt, and she entered in the house from the back door and when she entered in her bedroom she saw the ghost very sad sat on a chair and asked her for help, she would help him. They crossed a wall and they entered in the hell and they told the Angel of Death he to let the ghost rest in peace and he did it. Then the ghost rest in peace and there wasn’t any more ghost in the house.
