What is?

It is a contagious infectious disease that caused many deaths. It was caused by the bacterium YersiniaPestis

Where does it come from?

Asia. They hit Europe in the XIV century, killed about 50,000,000 people

The most reliable theory is that is transmitted to humans by fleas from rodents, under a hot and humid climate.

What causes this disease?

Causes death, it was a very aggressive and potentially fatal disease.

How many varieties are there?

* Bubonic Variety:- It is the best known- They came glands in the groin, armpit or neck, the size of an egg to an apple- These inflammations are called galls, and covered all parts of the body.

* Lung Variety:- It affected the respiratory system.- It was less dramatic in its external manifestation.- In addition to general symptoms it appeared bloody expectoration

* Septicemic Variety:- It was the most serious for the patient.- It is accompanied by cutaneoushemorrhages plates of bluish black color, which explains the name of Black Death
