Texas Teacher STaR Chart
EAGLES are FLYING HIGH!
The Texas Teacher STaR Chart began in the early 2000’s as a way for teachers to evaluate and self assess their own use of technology in the classroom. Just two years ago the assessment became mandatory for all teachers in the state rather than optional as it had previously been. The chart focuses on four specific areas of assessment: Teaching and Learning; Educator Preparation andDevelopment; Leadership, Administration and Instructional Support; and Infrastructure for Technology.

Visit http://starchart.esc12.net/docs/TxTSC.pdf for information and a sample of the Texas Teacher STaR Chart. It is our job to be sure our students are prepared!
Completing the assessment annually is not only a self evaluation but a positive feedback source for your campus. This
allows administrators to set a clear vision based on technology
requirements and professional development guidelines for their staff
for the following school year.
