Nettleton School District2014-2015 Technology

District Technology Status The majority of the district’s

over 700 computers are less than 4yrs old.

The district offers free wireless and computer access through the Parent Center.

All district labs except High School are 3 years old or less. 9 labs total.

All internet activity is filtered and monitored for child safety.

We have 5x’s more bandwidth than last year.

Students are offered a variety of online classes through MVPS.

Network is now protected by an enterprise class Firewall.

Classrooms in Grades 2 – 8 And most HS rooms now have

Smartboards. All educational buildings have

access to wireless internet. We have had no internal network

failures in 4 years. Students in grades 4 – 12 have

access to Android tablets or IPADS.

Most work orders are answered in 3 days or less.

We currently maintain around 1200 connected devices.

All Windows XP machines are replaced or soon to be replaced.

All HS and JH Classrooms will soon have new workstations.

Current Projects A new lab will be installed in

the JH school in preparation for online testing and instruction.

Wireless coverage in schools will be expanded to alleviate dead spots.

Special Education Computers will be upgraded or replaced.

We are evaluating and researching one device per child and personal device solutions.

The Primary School and HS have received a network copier/printer for instructional use.

We will increase the availability of copiers and printers.

The district will continue to offer Staff development to increase teacher technology proficiency.
