National Taiwan Library is the oldest public library of Taiwan, with the
largest collection of books, most frequent updates and a
comprehensive organizational structure. The library’s aim is to provide
a service for the public, to conserve local literature, promote academic
research, and assist private libraries in Taiwan. The predecessor of the
National Taiwan Library was known as the Taiwan Governor’s Library,
established in 1914.
The University is a national university in Taipei City, Taiwan.
Considered as the most prestigious university in Taiwan and one of
the top ranked universities in the world, it consists of 11 colleges,
54 departments, 107 graduate institutes and four research centers.
The National Central Library is the sole national library of Taiwan. Its
mission is to acquire, catalog, and preserve national publications for
government, research and general public use. The Rare Books Collection
is one of the leading collections of Chinese antique books and
manuscripts in the world. The library also assists research, promotes
librarianship, carries out international exchange activities, and
strengthens cooperation between domestic and foreign libraries.
National Taiwan Museum is the oldest museum in Taiwan.
Exhibits a wide range of dinosaur remains & indigenous mammal skeletons.
The Museum has a permanent collection of nearly 700,000 pieces of
ancient Chinese imperial artifacts and artworks, making it one of the
largest of its type in the world. The collection encompasses 8,000
years of history of Chinese art from the Neolithic age to the modern.
Most collections are high quality pieces collected by China’s
emperors.
The Library is a public library in Beitou Park. It is a two-storey building
and it is notable as being constructed to be an eco-friendly green
building, in which the building was designed to curb water and
electricity consumption of lighting electricity. The roof was designed to
be partially covered with photovoltaic cells to generate electricity and
also designed to capture rain water to be stored and used to flush
toilets

National Taiwan Museum & Land Bank Exhibition Hall – The
National Taiwan Museum is a paleontology exhibition center focusing on
natural history, and located directly opposite the Taipei 2/28 Memorial
Peace Park . A variety of paleontological specimens, large-scale
dinosaur models and the specimen of elephant Lin Wang are displayed
in the museum.
National Palace Museum - This extraordinary collection of historic art
treasures, fascinating for its depth and breadth, has miraculously
escaped destruction over hundreds of years. Some pieces date back to
the tenth century.
Beitou Park is situated along the central part of the Beitou River at the tail
end of Yangmingshan National Park. Park facilities include a hot spring
education center, hokutolite conservation area, administration center, indoor
and outdoor bathing springs, a children's hot spring play area, and a topiary
maze. One of the highlights at the park is a series of five small waterfalls, with
hot spring pools at each of the falls.

must-see for visitors of Taipei.
