Business Searching Interface

From the EBSCOhost logon screen select Business Searching Interface.

This offers slightly different features from the standard Business Source Premier interface.

Search Screen

Initial search form presents multiple search limiters for document type. This includes limiters for company report, industry profile, and country report.

The browse menu in the left column is a special feature of the interface.

Search Box

Search box options include searches using the ticker symbol, IC NAICS Code and DUNS Number.

This is in addition to the standard author, title subject term searches.

Company Entity Search

The Company Entity search returns company reports. This includes SWOT analysis and company profiles.

Result limiters

The left side column provides limiters to narrow the results returned by a search.

Here the results are limited to 2012 – 2013.

SWOT Analysis Record

The record for the SWOT Analysis present related subject terms, DUNS Number, Ticker Symbol, NCAIS code and an abstract of the report.

The left side column links to the PDF full text of the report.

SWOT Analysis

The SWOT Analysis looks at the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats for a company.

This provides an overview of the important elements facing a company’s future growth.

Search History

The search history option allows you to back track through your searches.

This is a handy tool used to track your progress.

Here we will back track to the initial search to look at earlier company profiles.

Initial Results

The initial search listed earlier DATAMONITOR Company Profiles on the results list.

Select a title to view the record for the company’s information profile.
