Study Visits for Education Specialists

• Exchange of experiences and transfer of knowledge

• EU-countries + Norway, Iceland, Switzerland, Turkey and Croatia

• CIMO is the coordinator in Finland• On European level, Study Visit programme is

coordinated by Cedefop: http://studyvisits.cedefop.europa.eu/

• Study Visits are part of Lifelong Learning Programme

Target Groups of Study Visits in General education

• Education specialists in basic, secondary and adult education– principals, head techers– teacher trainers, pedagogical advisors– administrative staff in education on municipal, regional and

national levels

• Teachers are not eligible applicants for Study Visits

• Applicants have to act as multipliers and active disseminators of their experiences.

Contents of Study Visits

• During a Study Visit, the educational system of the target country and a particular educational topic is investigated

• Study Visits contain lectures, discussions, visits in educational institutions, companies and– The official programme each day is between 9 – 17 and in

the evenings there are social and cultural activities, dinners etc.

• The grant covers travelling and accmodation and subsistence epenses.

• Call will end at October 15th 2013 – Study visits will take place 1.3. - 30.6.2014

the online application form on Cedefop’s website.– All the relevant information will be updated on

CIMO’s website when the call opens.

• During the 2013 calls 65 000 € (45 – 50 grants) will be granted in Finland.
