The winter was long and cold. The bumblebee announced the coming of warm, sunny spring with his buzzing.

Many colourful flowers grew from the young grass and that invited many bugs for a feast.

The bumblebee Bumbo accidentally hit the red tulip where the bee Maya sat.

Bumbo asked: “What’s your name?”.Maya the bee answered: “Maya, and you?”“Bumbo” – he answered. That was how they met.

Then Maya the bee said to the bumblebee mean: “Next time, be careful where you fly. Can’t you see that there are many bees, butterflies and other bugs here.”

When she heard the bumblebee and the bee talking, a ladybug Viki came from another flower. “What is that noise? What is going on here?”

Nothing, I was just flying a bit faster, so I couldn’t stop” – Bumbo answered.

“Yeah, right,” said Maya the bee, “he wasn’t looking where he was flying, and that is dangerous.”

“Ok, ok – the important thing is that everything went well.” – said ladybug Viki and flew away, on a daisy flower full of sunshine.

Bumbo asked Maya the bee to forgive him. And she did.

After that Bumbo the bumblebee asked her shyfully to meet him by the lake over the mountain. There was a beautiful meadow full of flowers.

Maya accepted the invitation joyfully. That is how their unusual love began.

Each day they would fly together on a lake, mountain or a meadow.

Page 16: Spring Love by Barbara Sačer

They would enjoy in all the spring beauties until the night came. At night, they would sleep and at day they would enjoy hanging out together. Until autumn.

The autumn came so Maya had to go back to her warm beehive. Saying goodbye was sad. They promised to each other to be together again next spring.
