History:

Sonica Plastic industries started its business in 1978 by manufacturing spare parts of Plastic washing

machines on a small scale under the supervision of Muhammad Munawar. But continuously and

gradually this small unit started manufacturing of Plastic Furniture on a large scale in 2009 with the name

of M.A International Plastic Industry Private Limited. M.A.International Plastic Industry (Private)

Limited has its own automatic machinery. this is all achieved by sharing committed management and

experienced employees. M.A.International Plastic Industry (Private) Limited is now become a prominent

name in Plastic Furniture industry in Pakistan. M.A.International Plastic Industry (Private) Limited

satisfying hundred of million customer all over Pakistan and abroad too. Today, as we are witnessing a

new era of industrial, economic and commercial advancement, we have developed all our efforts for the

development. In search of excellence, we have invested in the complete training of our engineers and

setup state-of-the-art equipment and now specialize in service and maintenance of varied Parts of Plastic

Furniture.The concluded aspect of our diversified services is our quality application to achieve the

standards set forth by the demands of time and development. Hence, we are committed and dedicated at

Introduction:

Due to the very low consumption as compared to developed countries and even in India,

a large gap is to be filled by introducing new and cost effective products. Customers with

low purchasing power don’t have any option other than plastic furniture. Middle and

lower classes in Pakistan is major buyer and these classes are 65% of total population.

Also there are very few players in this business. The business of Molded Furniture has

marked its place in the country through growth during the last ten years. This growth has

opened up new opportunities.

The prime reason for this is awareness about the product. Along with that, companies are

offering conditional warranty of plastic chairs minimizing risk of customer. Molded

Furniture is basically produces in developed countries to be used as Lawn Furniture and

outdoor restaurants. As trends are from developed countries, it was introduced in Pakistan

around 1984-1985 by a Karachi based firm.

Then a factory was installed in Gujranwala and then with the passage of time now there

are some main 7units producing plastic chairs, tables, baby products, etc day and nights.

Due to low purchasing power people in Pakistan found this product cheap, associated

with warranty covering the risk of consumers. Customer bank is increasing day by day

with the penetration of companies, by introducing new and economical models, variety of

colors, exports to Afghanistan, etc.

In 2014 the trade value of plastic furniture in 2014 is $149,613 exports and

$219,410imports. In 2015 it was increased and trade value of plastic furniture was

$555,519exports and $253,114 imports. It is clear that in 2014 the imports are more than

exportsbut in 2015 exports are twice to imports.

A modular seating system of simple classic lines suitable for external and interior use .The

tubular framework and wide seat pans give the Public seating range a distinctive appearance

which will contribute to the character of any scheme. Bench seating units are standard single and

double sided with tubular frames and armrests. Public seats are available in single, double or

triple seat modules with perforated or upholstered seat pansor as timber bench units.

DISTRIBUTION CHANNEL:

Producer

Sonica plastic industry produces the products of its brand. The company produces almost 40,000

to 45,000 chairs monthly in the normal routine. But sometimes orders and demand of the

consumer, the production can increase or decrease.

Warehouse

The company has two warehouses in two different cities, 1st warehouse in Karachi &the 2nd in

Multan, according to the strategy of the company the raw material is very cheap in Gujranwala

as compare to Karachi &Multan. Therefore, the company has established its warehouse instead

of branches in the cities. The marketing team has controlled the warehouses.

Dealers

The are many dealers of the company in the whole country. The dealers are work as wholesalers

and the company assembles the particular areas to different dealers. The company gives the

different targets of sale to the dealers according to the policies of the company; numbers of

rewards are given to the dealers who have achieved their targets. The rewards can be XLI

Corolla, visits to the different countries and the Umra Packages etc.

Mostly dealers collect the products directly from the factory, but in the other provinces dealers

bought the products from the warehouses.

Sub Dealers

There are also sub dealers who worked as retailer. These sub dealers hire their own showroom

and they bought the products, sometimes directly from the company or warehouses and

sometimes they bought the products from the dealers. According to the policies of the company

different schemes are given to the sub dealers for the purpose to maximize the sale. This is the

last channel from where the ultimately consumer bought the products and the product is finally

consumed by the consumer.

SHOWROOM

Showroom is a place where public can access easily. Goods are sale at factory rate and also retail

price. The company offices have also showroom in their head offices. Public has option to

directly purchase goods from them. The customers can get warranty of goods for 1 year. In any

case of claim, the customers has option to return back their furniture and gets new furniture by

paying 55% of actual price.

Note:Tenders

Different companies require the furniture in bulk for their purpose, they can publish their

requirements on the newspapers. They have option to contact directly to the company head office

or any dealer. The dealers fulfill the requirements of tender after permission of company.
