Introduction
Global warming has increased the demand for green energy production by renewable sources such as solar power.
The power shortage in Pakistan increasing day by day, and there is no short term and long term plan available to overcome this problem in this scenario.
Technology is vastly being cultured and embedded in our day-to-day activities.
To overcome this situation, solar energy is the most efficient way to generate electricity, but solar panels are much expensive and our country is also facing financial crisis now-a-days.
Best way to generate electricity is through heat energy, and our project depends on the heat energy. The Solar Stirling Engine that we are designing is the optimum and convenient solution for power generation.
Background
The Stirling engine was invented by Robert Stirling in1816. At that time, the Stirling engines were recognized as a safe engine that could not explode like steam engines. But the Stirling engine had been made a poor production, in comparison to Otto engine and Diesel engine.
The Stirling engine had been started to develop rapidly in 1973.
Still more, energy and environment problems have become one of the most important social problems at present.
Then the Stirling engine is being noticed now. The reasons are High thermal efficiency A great variety of the fuel Low emission and low pollution
Methodology
The basic idea is to convert heat energy into mechanical energy and then mechanical energy into electrical energy. And to utilize more and more sun energy, the solar tracker can makes our work easy.

Application
The applications of our project are given below: Refineries Domestic use Commercial buildings Bill Boards Traffic signals Street lights Space research
Time and Cost analysis This entire project has a maximum
completion period of about 7 to 8 months.
The purchasing of the required necessities and the designing of the hardware model have been completed during the first few weeks of the project initiation.
Placement of orders for the implementation and manufacturing of engine’s design
Manufacturing period of engine – 1 month
In the mid of November, the project will be in its final phase of completion and will almost be ready to be presented to the final year committee with the documentation. We therefore hope to complete our entire project latest by the end of November.
The entire project is liable to change but the estimated project cost is around Rs. 70, 000 – 100, 000, depending on the equipment cost fluctuation and the cost spent in testing and implementation.
Conclusion
After discussing our project we concluded that if we increase the size of the parabolic surface and placing the powerful Stirling Engine, we can easily increase our generating capacity upto 5kw.
Hence it can be the milestone for generating electricity at lower cost in our beloved country Pakistan.
