Workshop overviewThe Italian “Forza NEC” programme represents one of the main focus points and military investments of the Italian Ministry of Defence, particularly of the Italian Army.

This workshop offers a comprehensive approach of the Italian Ministry of Defence and the Italian Army, with the aim of explaining the structure, operational procedures, and current and future objectives. About the workshop leader:Colonel Giuseppe Morabito was born in Rome on 3rd December 1959. He attended the 160th Course of the Military Academy in Modena (1978-80), graduating as a Second Lieutenant. In 1982, after completing two years at the School of Applied Military Studies in Turin, he was promoted to First Lieutenant.

Among many important roles in the Italian Army, Colonel Morabito was assigned to the NATO Defense College, as Director of the Middle East faculty, from July 2012 to July 2016.

Since July 2016 Colonel Morabito is a member of the Institute for Global Security and International Affairs (IGSDA), of the NATO Defense College Foundation (NDCF) and of the Retired Italian Officers Federation ( UNUCI).
