HALF-DAY POST-CONFERENCE WORKSHOP Wednesday 14th October 2015

Holiday Inn Kensington Forum, London, UK8.30am to 12.30pm

How Viable Are GTL Opportunities inToday's Energy Price World?

Workshop Leader: Alex Forbes, Director, Forbes Communications

Overview of workshop:A successful Gas-to-Liquids investment calls for anunderstanding of the latest technologies, the economic driversbehind these technologies, and the challenges of marketingthe end-products – be they fuels, lubricants, waxes or otherspeciality chemicals. The oil price plunge of 2014/15 createsnew challenges for developers of GTL projects, raising severalquestions. Are we entering a low oil price world for the longterm? What are the prospects for the price of natural gas? Willthere be a sufficient differential over the long term for GTLprojects to be economically viable? This workshop will look atthe GTL technologies that are available, the opportunities theypresent to monetise natural gas, and the challenges involvedin implementing GTL projects and marketing their output.

Why you should attend:This workshop will evaluate the latest GTL technologies andexamine their key economic drivers, focusing on how viableGTL has become as a natural gas monetisation option incomparison with other options such as LNG andpetrochemicals. It will summarise the progress of existingand planned projects, and consider what the future mayhold. It will conclude that in the current energy priceenvironment, successfully implemented projects will makevery substantial profits for their stakeholders. The keychallenge will remain getting access to proven technology.

The workshop will interest natural gas resource holders, project developers, technology providers, equipmentsuppliers, engineering contractors, financiers and potentialend-use sectors for GTL products, such as the transportationand petrochemicals industries.
