About the Conference:

The dismounted soldier and marine are still thegreatest asset of any defence force and time andtime again have proven vital for missioneffectiveness in a variety of complex operationalenvironments. As the global political and economiclandscape has shifted and many soldiermodernisation programme managers are evaluatingchanges in national defence strategies, it has neverbeen more important to gather the community andshare information on how dismounted operationscan be improved with new equipment and technologyadvances.

Unlike other events, SETAF is a meeting for thesoldier modernisation community that is designedaround a series of focused discussion groups run byco-chairs who are selected experts on vital subjectmatter. With no PowerPoint presentations, theSETAF fmeeting will dedicate the precious time of itsparticipants to in-depth learning, networking anddiscussions, making it a complementary part of thesoldier modernisation communities’ annual trainingand development programme.
