Intertextuality

- As seen in the clothing of the actors and musicians on set of the video, as some are seen wearing leather jackets and white rolled up sleeved shirts. Not only this but within this there are potential intertextual references, as with the clothing mentioned and the females within the video displaying denim jackets and short skirts it could be said that there are connections to the film ‘Grease’ which was set during the 1950’s.

- The large Marilyn Monroe styled picture in the background as well as the alternate coloured Warhol-esk art is a clear imitation of the artist and his work, and whilst pop art became a large artistic movement during the late 1950’s.
