Where you live and who your parents are is a strong indicator of:

'school readiness' and vocabulary scores for three year old children diagnosis of special educational needs, learning disabilities and/or social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Free school meals eligibility is the single biggest factor hindering a student's performance at GCSE.Disadvantaged students that perform well are less likely to go onto higher education, let alone to a Russell Group university.Once at university, they are less likely to achieve a first or 2:1.
