Education for Transformation was offering this Saturday programfor the children of the community from 2006-2008. Realizing that the children lacked opportunities to play we decidedto avail the pre-school compound, some of the materials, andsome staff members on Saturday afternoons from 2.30 to 5pm. The program was free of charge, and 50-80 children attendedevery Saturday. After 3 years, we had to stop the program for lack of committedvolunteers to take it on. We had intended to make the program as affordable as possible, hoping others would copy the idea and offer similar programs.Childrens programs in churches during Sunday morning servicesfor ex. was one of them.
