Role Play

Definition of Role Play
The word role (role) indicates that students must actively apply the knowledge, skills, and understanding to be able to speak and act well from a different perspective given to them. The word play (games) indicate that students use their imagination and have fun, in demonstrating their part in a non-threatening environment.
Role Play is a situation that is deliberately designed in which students demonstrate or assume the characters or identities that they do not normally assume to achieve learning goals.
Implementation the method
Make a group.Make a drama.Applying situation and issues that need
to be played and also recountted the course of events and the background of the story to be staged.
Role of teacher Teachers prepare scenario s are show. Teachers form a group of students whose member 5
people. Teachers calling the students who have been
apppointed to act out scenarios that have been prepared.
Each of these students were in group while observing the senarios being modeled.
Once completed is displayed, each students is given a worksheet to discuss/provide an assesment of the performance of each group.
Each group presents the results of its conclusion.
The advantagesVery attractive to students, thus allowing the
class to be dynamic and antusiastic.It may be possible to enhance the professional
capabilities of students.Students are free to take decisions and
expression intact.Teachers can evaluate each student
understanding through observation at the time of doing the game.
Train the imagination of students.
The Disadvantages
o Method play the role of a relatively long time.o Requires creativity and high creativity of the
teachers and the students.o Most students designated as an actor was
embarrassed to require a certain scene.o Not all course materials can be presented via this
mehtod.
Conclusion
• Role Play is a situation that is deliberately designed in which students demonstrate or assume the characters or identities that they do not normally assume to achieve learning goals.
