TAKING ACTION SPORTS MAINSTREAM FOR

MPORA.TV

THE CHALLENGE

MPORA.TV is Europe’s largest online action sports TV channel.

They wanted to position themselves as a mainstream brand and asked for our help to

launch them to the UK market.

“We’ll show you some real action”, we said.

WHAT WE DID

It’d be easier to tell you what we didn’t do.

In true action sport style we led a complete assault on the media.

We kicked off with a stunt in Trafalgar Square featuring bikini-clad beach babes to promote MPORA’s live streaming of Boardmasters – the UK’s biggest surfing competition in Newquay.

We set up media partnerships with high-traffic sites and blogs and we placed exciting competitions with many leading mainstream consumer titles.

HOW IT WORKEDWe flaunted MPORA.TV ‘surfer chicks’ around various London landmarks and London radio stations.

It attracted passers by and also the press - the Daily Mail even ran it as their lead picture story.

We set up partnerships with key media to embed the MPORA .TV player and branded clips of the event including The Mirror, msn and Yahoo.

We also took The Mirror, FHM and Metro (to name a few) down to Newquay for some VIP treatment to help build relations.

RESULTS

We reached in excess of 200 million consumers

Generated 53 pieces of coverage spanning across leading national, consumer, regional and online titlesNot to mention the cementing of fantastic press relations which came in rather handy for the next event...
