13Outcome

BeforeAfterThe patient was hit with a baseball bat in the right frontal region and admitted with a 12 GCS, confussion and left side hemiparesia.

CT scan reported a right frontal epidural hematoma and a craniotomy and evacuation of hematoma was performed, also first treatment cicle of Renacenz is started.

After 24 hours, the patient has 15 GCS, and hes improving movility in the left side of the body.

DiscussionAt the end of the first cicle of Renacenz treatment the patient was fully recovered, without any neurological impairment.

Renacenz has proven to be a helpful resourse to improve patients outcome, but we must not forget the role of decompressing surgery in the traumatic brain injury.
