Reflection Of 2012

Camp can be summed up in one word but I choose to explain it in more.We did so many interesting things at camp and learned many skills and learned more importantly to work together as a team and work in pairs supporting each other like hunters hunting there prey.They have to work together even if they don’t see eye to eye.That’s one of the many interesting obstacles we have to climb over at camp.

Camp

This year in inquiry we did many interesting topics but the natural disaster topic was by far was the best this year.There were so many different topics we could cover and so much information to be learned. It also gave others the chance to work together in teams or go solo, which I chose to do.

Inquiry

This year we also did many interesting things that need explaining,We were introduced this new sheet, a reading contract which had a bunch of things to-do and we also did many different types of Literacy.We could choose which tasks suited our learning styles.It was a great way to learn.

Literacy

This year we did some really interesting things in maths like finally someone teaching us how to do multiplication and decimal numbers in a nice and friendly environment. We designed and measured a new playground and made fruit cocktails to learn about ratio.We also covered some new areas like multiplying decimal numbers and area and squared numbers.

Maths

This year we has access to some old tech and some new tech that we got.

Some of the new tech additions we received were the five MacBook's, new ipads, ipods and some netbooks.

We also have have had a new internet system introduced for students.We learnt gaming design using Kodu, green screening, minecraft for learning science and maths.

Technology

We have been learning about how to write and read musical beats this year which we went over is multiple sessions. We also did some other interesting things this year like making our own drums and making our own music set piece which we performed to the class.

Music

We had many interesting and worth while excursions this year like going to acmi to have some fun also where we got to play some classic games like Quake which was a milestone for Pc gaming during that decade and inspired many of todays games.

We had also went for a day out to play Minecraft on a day which was hosted by Quantum, It was a fun day.

Excursions

This year we did a couple things in positive ed. We played some games and did some work and worked in teams and even made some posters.It was always in a nice environment.We even had speed stacking competitions.

Positive education

This year we did a lot of interesting sports like hockey which is one of my favourites and soccer and cricket.We also did some netball and some basket ball.Also we even held our sports day.

We also were forced to run a couple of laps around our oval turf track.

Physical Education

This year we did many things in Italian like making the normal presents for fathers fay and mothers day and we did the normal Easter baskets and we even learned out about Italian history.

Like who were very important figures in Italy's history and how France received the fork and many other interesting facts.

Now last but not least, Italian

Well my reflection on this year is it has been the best year at St. Luke's.We have done so many interesting topics and had so many opportunity's to different things we might not have been able to do and also experience in a very fancy environment.

I’m sad to see the year go past so quickly but that’s how life is and change can not be stopped.
