Hello supporter, As part of my Mentoring a Millionstrategy, I am about to launch the first RAMP® Success School Motivational Programme. The purpose of this programme is to coach young people on how to be successful. This will be achieved by exposing young people aged between 13 and 16 to the principles, laws, attitudes and basics of how to experience success in every area of their lives. The aim is to help young people to make better decisions concerning career options, invest in the right relationships and have healthier self concepts. Simply this will be a profound life changing experience for all involved. The programme will be delivered over 2 weeks from August 15 th till Friday 27th and we will take all the students through the award winning RAMP® mentoring programme. The programme will cover: confidence development, goal setting, identifying personal strengths, people skills, career navigation, success strategies, action planning, tips, emotional intelligence, choices, the importance of teacher/pupil relationships and financial literacy to name a few. The aim is to empower young people with all the necessary tools for effective living and the focus will be to prepare those who are about to take their year 9 options, entering the first GCSE year or their GCSE exams. The purpose is to equip young people with the vital life skills that they rarely are taught formally so they can hit the floor running in September necessary to experience their best school year ever! I have over 15 years experience in mentoring, from the grassroots mentoring hundreds of young people to strategic mentoring leadership, programme development and organizational implementation. My work has been regarded as “high qualityby Ofsted and I have won a Leading Aspect Award (http://bit.ly/r8851Y ) for increasing pupil morale, well being, performance and attainment. For the past 2 years I have been commissioned as the Lead Mentor of Birmingham to develop mentoring across the city and recently I have been invited to help implement the Lord Mayor Boris Johnson’s, Mentoring Programme in London. My RAMP® mentoring process has also been officially endorsed by Kendrick Morris who is a highly respected National Leader of Education. For years, I have worked within education and community and some of the problems are: In schools to present due to the cuts schools are getting get rid of many front line staff who would engage with students in challenging circumstances or who have emotional or behavioral problems. So now there is a big void and young people are lacking the support they vitally need. In July the Department for Education (DfE) published that 1000 pupils are excluded everyday! (Cover story for Daily Mail 11 th July 2011) and many teachers are leaving the profession. The NEET statistics are at an all time high since records began with close to a one million young people aged between 16-24 who are not in employment, education or training. Many young people lack the desire, passion or understand why they must attend school and take part. So many young people are disconnected, disengaged and disenfranchised about the education system. Many young people are dying emotional, mentally and physically because they are not connecting to their passion, dreams and possibilities. So the mission of the RAMP® Success School Motivational programme is to provide a creative and holistic solution to give young people the experience of a life time to increase their success and life chances, in one of the most deprived areas in England. Over the duration of the programme they will experience: Mentoring by some of the best mentors in the country and brightest students in university to help them to identify their dreams and aspirations so they are better prepared for school and society. They will be exposed to a variety of inspirational speakers and professionals and career pathways. They will share the ups and downs of their life stories and how they managed to find their way They will hear youth centered motivational speakers who will set the fire alive in their hearts They will be encouraged to connect with their communities as they learn to value their own life and The lives of others. This will promote community cohesion as they work in teams and meet new people

And there will also be an opportunity for parents to attend a workshop to gain further insights, tools and strategies of how they can help their children.

This does sound like a big mission and it is! And it cannot be done without your help. We are speaking about empowering and motivating a generation, and my personal passion is to improve the lives of the young, so they can experience better lives. So we need your help and below I have listed a few ways how you can assist us:

Sponsor a young person by cover a cost of a RAMP® Mentoring Academy scholarship. This would provide a place for a young person whose parents are not able to pay for the opportunity. You can do this as an individual or via your company’s Corporate and Social Responsibility community investment.

Promote and market this cause and opportunity to your network to make others aware who would like to do the same

Partner with the RAMP® Success School and add value to the initiative via your organisation. By doing so you would enable the Mentoring Academy to change lives of the young.

Introduce me to people of influence who are like minded and share the same passion for youth development and are actively involved in making a difference for the youth experience

For your assistance we will offer you the following:

Further promote and exposure your brand via our promotional campaign on BBC radio via interviews that I have been invited on to promote the RAMP Success School™

Your organisation will be mentioned in all relevant on-line media i.e. blogs, Face book and Twitter etc.

A powerful opportunity to deliver your Corporate Social Responsibility education / community investment policy or the opportunity to develop one

Your branding and website address will be included on our E-flyer that will be highly viral

Expose your company to the local and national university circuit via my partnership with AIESEC student society at The University of Birmingham

What you do and your services will be made known to high caliber business professionals as well as prospective customer

The RAMP® Success School™ Motivational programme experience will leave young people with hope, direction, passion and confidence to dream again. By enabling the young people they will become enthused and inspired by others who will invest in their futures. I believe this would be a great opportunity and would offer great value to your company as well as the life and success chances of the young people of England. This would also be a good method of promoting your company values and would be a good opportunity to raise the profile of your brand to various markets within this country and internationally.
