Licensing Along the Ragbrai Route
There are three ways in which beverage alcohol may be lawfully sold and served along the Ragbrai route:

Brand Names or Logo Advertising
Spirits, beer, and wine brand/logo advertising is allowed on the inside of the licensed premises
Inside the premises includes outdoor services areas where advertisements are to be facing inwards
Signage posted inside the premises that can be seen through the window is allowable Signs on the inside window facing out is allowable.

Extend Credit for Product Contribute $ to Retail Licensee (Including Non-profits) Assist with Selling/Serving Alcoholic Beverages Violation to Both Wholesaler & Retailer
Wholesalers May Sell Disposable Glassware

Penalties for Violations
Sales – To – Minor Violations Criminal Fines (Against Seller)
$1,500 Criminal Fine – Licensee $500 Criminal Fine – Agent or Employee plus court costs
Penalties for Violations
Sales-to-minor Violations Administrative Sanctions (Against License)
1st - $500.00 2nd - 30 – Day Suspension + $1,500 3rd – 60-Day Suspension + $1,500 4th – Revocation
No License to Person – 2 years No License to Premises – 1 year
Penalties for Violations
Immediate Suspension Prevent or avoid immediate danger to public’s health
safety and welfare. Licensee has due process rights, however no selling or
serving until final disposition of the matter.
