What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

We have used a variety of technology to produce a good quality product. I will be discussing which technology we used in the production of our film, and how useful each piece of technology was. Also I will be explaining what effect each technology had on the final product.

Final Cur Pro In the process of creating my media product I have utilized Final Cut Pro, in order to put our filmed footage in a presentable format. Final Cur Pro allowed us to edit our media product improving the overall product, by implementing background music and ordering our footage so it would make sense to our audience. The usefulness of Final Cut Pro is excellent it is very simple to maneuver around the program, helping us to complete our media product with ease.

Soundcloud Soundcloud is essentially a music database including non-copyright music. While producing our film, Soundcloud gave us a variety of options when selecting our soundtrack to enhance the tone and mood of our teen film. The music was categorized into genres, so it was very simple finding a song which would suit our teen film. The idea of creative commons allowed our group to discover non-copyright music as well as a assortment of music. In the end we chose a track from Soundcloud which added suspense to our dramatic scenes and tied together really well.

Video camera

Our Video camera captured our acting scenes, we attempted to use a mixture of camera shots with our video camera to improve the appearance of our teen film. We used extreme close-ups of a character, involving the camera to be hand held by our actor which produced a quality shot.

Time Toast

Time Toast came to be very useful in producing our film, by ordering our credits in time toast it was highly unlikely we get the order wrong. In addition to this time toast brings a professional element, because it shows the correct way of displaying the credits in chronological order.
