My product include an image of ‘mia and thigz’ they are shown on the cover as middle class teenagers, both male and female. Their clothing represents the urban fashion of the 21st century. Particularly associated with artists like Drake and Rihanna as clothing is an important part in the music industry as it makes an artist who they are. Mia is wearing a black and white baseball jersey with a longline black skirt and black snap back. Thigz is wearing a white ralph lauren t-shirt and navy blue jeans with a navy nike snap back. This also I wanted to represent an urban street feel which would appeal most to the younger generation of the 21st century ‘teenagers’. Both of them are making direct eye contact with the camera and reader, bot of them have a half slouched posture rather that stood up right which would probably come across really formal; Mia’s posture is stood straight with her arm resting Thigz leaning on him which is representing her companionship towards him she also has a slight smile and put which makes her look quite confident. Thigz is positioned slightly angled to the right hand side with one arm pointing throwing as what’s known as a ‘gang sign’ associated and popular with the younger generation. He also has his mouth closed with a slight squint which makes him look like a dominating and confident character.

Contents page column The artists that I have chosen to feature on this particular issue are primarily middle class black/mixed males and females with the exception of my feature artists mia n thigz who are white middle class male and female. Which is contrasting my chosen genre as the history of R&B originated from African American music in the 1940’s. Beyonce and Rihanna have the feature of an interview about an expected collaboration as there has always been an up rise in media of their may being a key hole in the career taking of this happening as both of their talents very but are both iconic artists in the industry. Chris Brown’s article will be about how he has managed to reform himself from the years of always being targeted from the media after his violent past; this will add tension to my magazine as it not about the music its about the artist himself which gives a deep and meaningful feel to my magazine.

Photoshoot image

For this studio image Mia and Thigz are both positioned in front of the camera at a head shot with both showing only one side of the face. This creates a dominating feel as the eyes are what draws focus and looks as if they are starring directly towards the reader. As a warning to other artists that they ‘are the key to their own success’ Both of them have a stern facial expression which could suggest that they are taking no messing in the sense of they are professional artists.

The second photoshoot image which was used for the background of the article Mia is staring at Thigz whilst he is looking directly towards the camera she is also leaning on him this is to incorporate that they have a companionship and continuously work together. Mia is wearing a grey tshirt with a a camo pattern and thigz is wearing a khaki coloured adidas zip up hoodie which you would usually associate with youth groups and people who have an urban street style.

Body text of articleThe way I decided to perceive Mia and Thigz to the reader was to make vocal how they have managed to achieve there success by the influence of the media and used this as an aspiration to not become what the media say they are so in a way they took this as an advantage to better themselves. The style of article used was a feature interview with quotes of what they said as a stand out platform. Included name locations in America like, New York city, and London’s Trafalgar square. Exaggertations were also used to emphasise the events like the annual BET awards and to stand out that they have became successful ‘they had raffled a hit in almost every music chart’
