This double page spread works because it uses a lot of white space which creates a sense of organisation on the double page spread, which immediately avoids any overcrowding and disorganisation. This double page spread allows the audience to fix their eyes on a particular item on the page, either the image, the text, the heading or even the subheading. This style model avoids using any vibrant colours on the text, promoting the image; which used vibrant colours such as read and white (contrasting colours) to enable the audience of the article (especially the secondary audience) to keep reading. My style model is also works because it includes some attributes of a double page spread. This is exercised through the use of the use of a drop cap, a Cross-head and a strap line. These qualities add to making my style model a more conventional magazine. I would be following these conventions because they help to establish to my readers that the page is in fact a double page spread article rather than just; a page in the magazine.

At first I wanted to get my inspiration from this double page spread on the right. The name “jamelia” has been made to stand out from the image underneath; which was the attribute of my draft “a transparent image” however, I later decided to use another image; similar to the one above
