Katolickie Tradycje Tradycje chrzcielne i
małżeńskieThe Catholic traditions: Baptism and
marriage
Chrzest
Dziecko które przychodzi na świat zostaje przyniesione
do kościoła, gdzie przyjmuje chrzest.
Przez chrzest stajemy się dziećmi Bożymi oraz członkami
wspólnoty Kościoła Katolickiego.
Baptism
• A child who comes into the World is brought to the Church where It accepts Christianity.
• Through Baptism, We become children of God and We become the members of the Community of Catholic Church.
Chrzest udzielany jest przy
chrzcielnicy gdzie
przechowywana jest
poświęcona woda.
Baptism is performed at the
baptismal font where the
Holy Water is stored.
Chrztu udziela kapłan przez polanie główki dziecka i
równoczesne wypowiedzenie słów:
„……(imię dziecka) Ja ciebie chrzczę w imię Ojca i Syna i Ducha Świętego”.
• The priest baptizes the baby by pouring water on its head while saying the blessing:
• “….( in the name of the child) I baptize you in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit”
Na znak stania się Dzieckiem Bożym
nowo ochrzczony zostaje ubrany w
białą szatę, a na jego czole zostaje
uczyniony świętym olejem znak
krzyża.
Rodzice dziecka
odpalają świecę, która
przypomina Jezusa.
Zapalona świeca oznacza, że od chwili chrztu
chcemy naśladować Pana Jezusa.
• As a sign of becoming a child of God, the Child is dressed in a white robe and the priest makes the sign of the cross on its forehead in The Holy Oil.
• The Parents of the child light the candle which symbolizes Jesus. The lit candle shows that We want to be like Jesus.
Małżeństwo
Kiedy mężczyzna i kobieta kochają się, zawierają małżeństwo.
Małżeństwo jest przymierzem mężczyzny i kobiety na całe życie.
Marriage
• When a man and a woman love each other, they get married. Marriage is an alliance between man and woman for their whole life.
Pan Młody i Pani Młoda składają sobie przysięgę.
The bride and groom make their marriage vows.
• I Jan takes you Ann for my wife and I vow to you love, marital fidelity and honesty of marriage, and that I will not leave you until death so help me God Almightly in the Trinity and all the saints.
Przy składanej przysiędze ręce małżonków są związane stułą
kapłańską.
Co oznacza wiecznie trwałą przysięgę małżeńską składaną przed Jezusem Chrystusem.
• During the marriage ceremony, spouses’ hands are tied with the priest’s stole to
• symbolize ever-lasting marriage which is undertook before Jesus Christ.
Małżonkowie zakładają sobie nawzajem obrączki.
Janie przyjmij tę obrączkę jako znak
mojej miłości i wierności, w imię
Ojca i Syna i Ducha Świętego.
The bride and groom exchange rings.
• (name) take this wedding ring as a sign of my love and fidelity in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy spirit.
Po wyjściu z kościoła Młoda Para obsypana zostaje ryżem albo
drobnymi monetami, co jest symbolem ich dostatku.
• After leaving the Church, the couple is showered with rice and small coins as a sign of affluence.
