I worked as a headmistress in Pollina-San Mauro Castelverde from Sept 2007 to August 2013
It is a comprehensive school divided into : Pre-primary school (3-5 years ) ;Primary school (6-10 years) Secondary school -first level (11-13).
Schools are placed in 3 different buildings in 3 different nice villages

FIRST AIM: provide students with the appropriate learning strategies in order to achieve educational success.
I try to ensure the learning process exploit the instruments to enhance professional skills and provide school teaching equipment COORDINATE teachers’ meetings monthly PLAN the overall management of the educational establishment: school time and classes, adaptation of curricula to the local conditions on
the basis of the national guidelines and resources. organize, authorize , control the school activities according to the criteria
of efficiency and effectiveness as concerns services and administration. << >>COLLABORATION: STAFF /School Council ( representatives of teachers, administration staff, parents and students) HOW: DIALOGUE, EMPATHY, FORMAL /informal COMMUNICATION

Specific tasks of the head teacher
Targets – I HAVE TO• ensure the achievement of institutional goals • ensure the unified school management through a clear formal and informal communication .• organize school activities in a functional way •ensure the interaction between school members in order to promote high quality service • optimize the use of professional and financial resources and facilities • strengthen the relationship with the Province and the local associations
I Check that:-School staff plays its role and is involved in educational process -people are welcomed- collaborative communication in classes takes place between the staff and the teachers;• I Record data related to:- Attendance of the students and their participation in interdisciplinary activities - Collaboration between school and home -Increase the educational success of students• I Determine degree of :- collaboration with the persons responsible for specific tasks, through careful documentation of the activities; - periodic meetings of plan and verification of the school services

•. MAIN EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES AT
SECONDARY SCHOOL
• develop cognitive skills : critical thinking, creativity and analytic ability.
• cultivate: ethycs, responsability, honor, tolerance, respect for others
• develop effective skills in all the subjects.
• To foster a broad intellectual and cultural experience in order to promote a sense of European identity.
Classical Lyceum o offers a programme focusing on humanity
studies and classical languages
o The five years of study are divided into two cycles: ginnasio and liceo
o Subjects : Italian, Latin, Greek,Maths, English, French, Philosophy, History, Geography,P.E., Science, Art,Chemistry and Physics
o WORKSHOPS: poetry, movie, theater…
o There are about 800 students (22 disabled) 80 teachers (1 French teacher - ESABAC), 8 ATA, 10 school employees.
