The village is documented in 1853 named BorpatakhozOriginally it was a small Hungarian village Catholic.The village had a flourishing period during retrievals mining of gold, silver , zinc , copper and lead. Of me was extracted 2,000 tonnes silver , 60 tonnes copper, zin 300 tonnes , 100 tonnes of lead and 2-3 kg during the Austro-Hungarian gold .With the unification of Transylvania with Romania , extractions at Wine Valley were stopped and mines have closed fot . Villagers are forced to turn to agriculture.Currently , due to lack of education in Hungarian most of the inhabitants have forgotten them speaking Hungarian Romanian.
