Abdera school is placed in Adra, a little village in the West area of the Spanish province of Almería. The population is about 20,000 inhabitants. The main economical activities are fishing and intensive farming.
AT OUR SCHOOL WE TEACH:
• ESO (GCSE)•BACHILLERATO (A LEVELS)•CICLOS FORMATIVOS (GNVQs)•ENSEÑANZA DE ADULTOS (LIFELONG LEARNING)
At our school:• There are about 90 teachers and 1,200 students.• Most of the students come from rural areas and their families live on intensive farming.• Many of our students are immigrants who come from different places, such as East Europe, North Africa or South America.
At our school:
• Most lessons are taught in a second language (English), so our students are fluent in two languages.
• Teachers make a wide use of technology in their lessons, so our students have very good IT skills.
