Present Perfect Simple
Use of Present Perfect• Puts emphasis on the result;• Action that is still going on;• Action that stopped recently :• Finished action that has an influence on the
present; • Action that has taken place once, never or several
times before the moment of speaking;
To Form the Present Perfect
• AFF: subject + to have/has + verb (past participle)
• Example: I have left home.
• Neg: subject + have/has not + verb (past participle)
• Example: They haven’t finished yet.
• Int: Have/has + subject + verb (past participle).• Example: Have you just eaten an ice cream?
Signal Words of Present Perfect
• The present perfect is allways attached to this words:
• already, ever, just, never, not yet, so far, till now, up to now
• Example: I have already spoken to her.
