Preliminary Task September 2014 Assessment 3: MAP 1 Brief: Continuity task involving filming and editing a character opening a door, crossing a room and sitting down in a chair opposite another character, with whom she/he then exchanges a couple of lines of dialogue. This task should demonstrate match on action, shot/reverse shot and the 180-degree rule. Evidence of match on action Evidence of shot reverse shot Evidence of 180° rule Evaluation of task (comment on use of planning, use of camera, use of iMovie and working as part of a group. Include 2 areas for improvement, which you work on during the main task.) In my opinion, I found the Filming part the easiest as I feel that we used a variety of different camera shots effectively. In addition, I believe we edited the clip effectively by using Final Cut. However, I believe that we could’ve improved the sequence by changing the area where we filmed.
