“Out of Cordoba”+Antique Torah & Quran Exhibitfeatured a documentary film by Jacob Bender, Executive Director-CAIR (Council on American
Islamic Relations) extolling the lives and contributions of two great Jewish and Muslim contributors to civilization, Moses Maimonides (Musa Ben Maymun) and Ibn Rushd (Averroes).

The Quran folio page exhibited here is handwritten from the 10th century 68th chapter of the Quran, known as Surah Nun. The event was attended by a mixed group of Christians, Muslims
and Jews, as part of the interfaith effort for appreciating religious diversity as part of 2016 Islamic Heritage Month activities hosted at Masjidullah-Center for Human Excellence.

Faisal LatifQari, Nashid, Spoken Word
Qari, and Hafidzh Quran (one who has memorized the Quran), Spoken Word Artist, Faisal Latif amazed the audience with his acappela recitations of Quran, Nashid (religious songs)
and Spoken Word. Faisal amazed the audience that he had memorized the complete Quran, composed of 114 chapters and 6235 verses.

Baba Kenya also presented a recent colorful acrylic painted exhibit featuring Kufic Islamic Geometric design and script along with 3-dimensional geometric objects. The
purpose of the exhibit is to show the diversity in design and usage concept.
